Things are getting back to normal around here.
Summer is in the air and I can really get excited about it now that surgery is behind us.
Warm weather and long days are here and so is the fun!
Bubbles...
We have always had a love/hate relationship with Bubbles in our home.
Ava loves them and desperately wants to play with them but has trouble rounding her lips, therefore bubbles can be a big source of frustration.
She was deliriously happy when she got a bubble gun as her end of the year gift.
No blowing necessary :-)
She was so elated. Looks like she is bawling.
Fun continued when our sweet friends stopped by. Look at Juddy sitting out on the porch with the big kids!
It's a mystery how and why bubbles bring out such joy in children.
Love it.
Pine cones...
We went on our first walk post-surgery yesterday. Fresh air did all of us good. Ava was tired and slow moving but that didn't stop her from collecting pine cones and flowers along the way.
She loaded up the stroller with all her treasures. We had to limit her to 5.
AHH...those blue eyes make this Mama melt.
Happy baby loving the summer stroll and munching away at his stroller straps.
His toes must be tasty too.
Look at poor sissy's eyes. She was definitely not 100%
Jellyfish...
I love that summer gives A a much deserved break from school work, BUT I still want her practicing and learning during these 3 months off. I have decided to do an art/writing project every week. This week we did a watercolor picture of jellyfish. The next day we read facts about them and the day after that we wrote some sentences about them. It's nothing big but because it's associated with her masterpiece, she doesn't really think of it as work.
Also, my awesome sister is working as an educator at Sea World. I thought it might be fun to learn about a variety of sea life this summer.
Summer, we are ready for you...
Baby beach, BBQ, watermelon, sunscreen, evening walks,
sandy feet, birthdays, tan lines, vacation,
laughing, playing, swimming, and making memories with our sweeties.

Fun Stuff! Wish we had some summer up here. It's been raining off and on for days now. Enjoy your days, and so glad Ava can truly enjoy bubbles now with her bubble maker :)
ReplyDeleteAva and Juddy are lucky to have a mama who is also a teacher. You will keep them both on top of their school work as they grow up! I am gonna need you to give me some summer-learning ideas when Emmers gets bigger!
