God Sees

Sometimes little kids don't say thank you.
Sometimes I feel invisible.
Sometimes I say the same thing a million times and no one gets it.
Sometimes training and raising little souls is HARD!

But God sees and He is the one that I strive to do all things for.
God sees and he is pleased as we shepherd hearts, put band-aids on cuts, struggle through a math lesson, or cook dinner.

"The builders of medieval cathedrals knew what it meant to work their entire lives to please God without ever expecting to see their work completed.  many cathedrals would take more than a hundred years to build-more than the span of a man's lifetime.  I once heard a story of an artisan who worked tirelessly for many years to carve a beautiful bird into the wood of a portion of the cathedral that would be covered up.  When someone asked why he was working so hard on something that no one would ever see, he replied, 'Because God sees." - Teaching from Rest

God sees the work on our little wooden birds as well.
So we continuing building a cathedral for the Lord because he is worthy and HE SEES!

"You are the God who sees me." - Genesis 16:13

Jesus Loves Me

Enough to give us this sweet church family.

From the Garden...

This weeks activity...

Perfect timing for the orange Zinnias to be blooming!

Trying to grow some sweet peas this fall

The kids and I can't get over these Ranunculus corms
So odd
But such beautiful flowers
Fingers crossed!
My favorite thing about our garden is learning more about the creator of all things

Another favorite thing is my main man right here
He's usually out there with me in some capacity
Whether on the swing or by my side
He keeps me on track

Playoffs!

Baseball Playoff time again and one of my favorite times of the year!

This October, we are Cubs fans.

The boys just ask what color we are rooting for.

It never disappoints.

From the Garden

This week...

Zoo Field Trip

I love the SD Zoo.
I grew up going to this Zoo every year and definitely took for granted how special it is.
We enjoyed a family day looking at the animals.
God is sure creative.

(This Lion has met his match)

(The boys could look at reptiles all day)

(Ava in the Aviary)

"God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good."
- Genesis 1:25
