I can sum up our last few weeks with those two words...
SUCH FUN!
Where to even start?
James and I celebrated 8 years of marriage on the 9th of July.
I am so blessed by this husband of mine.
And one thing I love about him is how he plays with our kids.
He's so logical and is such a rule follower but randomly he'll spray the kids with a hose while they are fully clothed.
They love him so much.
We made it to our first Padre game of the season.
They lost but they were winning when we left sooooo...
we just pretended that they won.
Our friends recommended a video for us called, Gather the Family.
It encouraged us both to make family worship and devotional time a part of our day, every day.
It's hard getting started, mostly because of the age of our children, but it's so worth it and we know that it will bear good fruit!
I was sick last week but woke up to this from my daughter and felt a bit better.
"Dear God, Mommy sick better and sick away from body. Amen."
Love her.
My best friend is in town from Mississippi.
We got to meet her new little bundle of joy.
The older kids seem to just pick up where they left off.
It is good to have friends, who are more like family, in our lives.
My kids played Red rover for the first time in their life which is always something to document.
DoTerra Peppermint oil is one of my new favorite things.
It smells so yummy.
I'm trying to use it to refresh and wake everyone up in the morning before we start schooling.
The kids line up to get their oils rubbed on them and it is a sweet moment that I get to spend with each of them at the start of the day.
But sometimes we lay around like this and don't do school at all and that's ok too.
It's been HOT so night time walks have been a fun family activity.
Just couldn't leave this picture out.
We also explored the new open space near our home and I took some pictures with my actual camera.
We ended up getting locked in and had to wait for the parks department to come unlock the gate.
The kids thought that being stuck was a lot of fun.
I was just happy that I at least got a few cute pictures out of it.
