The Bible

James and I have very much enjoyed watching The Bible on the History Chanel this past month.

There has been some criticism here and there but we have loved it for the most part. 

 This time of year is always such a sweet time.

I have been a believer since I was a young girl and I still get overwhelmed by the truth of the gospel especially when Easter Sunday comes.

I still get giddy with excitement when I think on what Christ did for me.

It is the BEST news.

The Bible mini-series has been a good reminder to me of God's plan for man kind from the very beginning.  

He is so perfectly wise and sovereign.

He has been throughout history, and he is today.

We are excited to celebrate!!!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

 

Every Day

Every day when we get home from school, Ava runs ahead while I get Judson out of the car.

She picks a flower and hides on our pourch.

When we turn the corner she jumps out and presents me with a flower and a smile.

What girl doesn't like getting flowers everyday?

I'll take them happily. 

Open House

I LOVE Open House night!

I am with my little sweetie most hours of the day.

I see what she sees.

 I do what she does.

But for those 4 hours a day, she is independent.

She is making choices for herself.

She is conversing with friends.

She is writing and exploring and learning in her school environment.

I love being there with her as she shows me around a place that she knows well.

I love learning from her.  

(Judson is pretty much a student at KLA too.  And a very popular one at that)

Her writing has been just priceless lately.  

She almost always writes about Mommy and Daddy and Judson.

She writes about God and love and baseball.  

I will save her writing forever!  

I am pretty much the opposite of a hoarder but when it comes to my kids creations, I hold on tight to just about everything!  

So ANOTHER school year is going to be over in just a few months.  

Every year is more precious than the last.  

I love my first grader.

I love her school.

 We are blessed.

It Must be Spring

Love

Going through photos of our week, I see lots of love.

I don't see the moments when I felt like I was going to pull my hair out. 

I don't see stress or fatigue or worry.

Those things are a very real part of my week but I am so thankful for my many blessings.

So very thankful for the love in my family and in our home because of Christ.

Our days are precious.  

Everyone of them holds new lessons to  be learned and new moments to enjoy.

Weekend excitement:

Ava had her first game this weekend.  Oh, my heart...It was overflowing.

Mommy and baby bump at Disneyland!  Woot.

That top tooth finally came out!  Now, she just looks way too big...but so sweet and little at the same time.
